Post 7: The future’s fuchsia

The future’s fuchsia
One of the biggest make-up trends this summer is wearing the brightest shades. Gold is the colour of summer. The gleaming skin, sun kissed cheeks and shimmering highlights.
But none of the above are the case with this weather. That is why several designers chose a new summer colour for this season; the shocking cerise and flowery fuchsia. Belgian designer Dries van Noten and London Fashion Week designer Giles Deacon chose this shade for the summery effect. In case you don’t wear lipstick, you can always use the Fuchsia neo-classic by YSL or the Explosive Raspberry lip gloss by Givenchy.

My opinion
I wrote about murderers, school and other depressing subjects. That is why I chose to end it with a happy colour; fuchsia. I love the colour and I wish I had the courage to wear something in that shade. I also saw many looks on the runway that were fuchsia, very bright and feminine. Famous designers Oscar de la Renta, Burberry Prorsum, Gucci and Narciso Rodriguez used this colour for their collection. It makes me think of raspberries and summer. It isn’t world news, but it is news to the ones that love beauty and fashion.

  1. Well seeing that I am not really into the whole fashion thing, I must say that the colour fuchsia is beautiful. I do wear lip gloss and lipstick so who knows maybe fuchsia will be my summer colour also, then for once in my life I will actually follow a fashion trend.
